This workshop is being conducted as a part of the premier international conference BDA 2025 and is intended to be a forum for researchers working on algorithms, theoretical models, programming languages, and tools aimed at achieving sustainability and energy efficiency in computing paradigms viz Distributed, Edge, Fog and Cloud.

Computing Paradigms and Resource Management

• Energy-aware Resource Management and Scheduling for Computing Paradigm viz. Distributed, Edge, Fog and Cloud

• Power/energy management and failure management (e.g., fault tolerance, recovery, reliability) on Distributed, Edge, Fog and Cloud computing platforms

• Programming Languages/ Tools/ Frameworks for achieving energy efficiency in Distributed, Edge, Fog and Cloud Computing including containers and middleware technologies.

• Theoretical models and novel algorithms for energy and/or multi-objective optimization on Distributed, Edge, Fog and Cloud computing paradigm.

• Development of open-source libraries for energy-efficient computing

• Optimization techniques and Computational Methods for reducing computational energy consumption

• AI-driven frameworks for energy predictions, modelling in Distributed, Edge, Fog and Cloud computing

• Green Computing and Communication Technologies: Green infrastructure sustainable design and technologies, including Green technologies for 5G (SDN, IoT, Crowdsourcing)

• Energy-efficient data centre networks: Network Protocols, network architecture design; scheduling and routing

• Energy-efficient software/applications including Software engineering approaches for energy efficiency.

• Performance Modelling and Evaluation: Energy-efficiency Performance models, Monitoring tools, Analysis of application performance, evaluation methods and metrics.

• Toolkits for measuring energy consumption in distributed and cloud environments

• Emerging Trends, Case studies and Future Directions in Energy optimisation in computing paradigms

• Domain-specific energy-efficient computing architectures: Design, programming, and exploration of energy-efficient computing architectures that provide a significant performance for application domains such as AI, image processing, weather forecasting, Bioinformatics, etc...

Submission Guidelines

The workshop papers must be no more than 6 pages, including title, abstract, figures and references, and not published or under review elsewhere. Papers must be formatted with Springer Conference Proceedings Template.

Papers are to be submitted electronically through EasyChair.
