APAN spans broad themes of systems, cognitive and computational auditory neuroscience, touching on the following topics:
|
|
For everyone attending APAN (whether or not you are submitting an abstract)
- APAN will be held on Friday November 14, 2025, 8AM - 6PM PST, in San Diego, CA, USA.
- Registration fee is $85 for students and postdocs, and $150 for faculty and other non-trainees. Registration covers access to the full day of talks and posters, as well as continental breakfast and coffee.
- Conference registration and payment: https://www.med.upenn.edu/apan/registration.html
- Abstract submission: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=apan2025
- Note that conference registration is separate from abstract submission. To submit an abstract, you MUST first register and provide proof of payment during abstract submission.
- Payment will no longer be taken at the door. Please make sure to register in advance. Early registration is encouraged.
For submissions of research abstracts
- Abstract submission deadline is Friday June 20, 2025.
- Presentations will take the form of short talks, poster teaser talks, and posters. The APAN Organizing Committee will evaluate submitted abstracts blind to author names and demographics. A subset of submissions will be selected for podium presentations or brief poster teasers at the meeting. Posters will be presented during two poster sessions. If the senior author of an abstract is chosen for the JFA, their regular abstracts would not also be chosen for an oral presentation or poster teaser.
- Authors may be listed on multiple submissions but may be the presenting author for only one abstract.
- Abstract word/character limits follow that of SfN.
For Junior Faculty Award (JFA) applicants
- The JFA application deadline is Friday August 1, 2025.
- The JFA is an opportunity for Principal Investigators who have had an independent position for 3-7 years to present a 25-minute spotlight talk during the meeting.
- We encourage all to apply, but we will prioritize applicants with a strong research track record, including senior-author publications.
- If you know someone who is eligible for the JFA, please encourage them to apply or nominate them yourself. You may also email their details to apanchair@apanhearing.org by 1 July 2025, and we will encourage them to apply directly.
- JFA applications should be submitted by email, not through Easy Chair. See here for detailed instructions: https://www.med.upenn.edu/apan/junior-faculty-award.html
- JFA applicants are also welcome to submit a research abstract(s) separately as presenting or senior author.
For Mentor Lunch participants
- The popular APAN Mentor Lunch is happening again this year.
- More details on how to sign up as a mentor or mentee will be sent to the APAN email list soon. Watch that space!
